Who we are

ASD Quattro Torri is an Amateur Sport Association founded in September 1997 in Pomezia (RM), with the aim of dissaminating and promoting sport values and sport benefits, besides the important concept of sharing personal grow.

Quattro Torri is also a chess club, duly associated to FSI (Italian Chess Federation) and it has national and international fellows, like President Sergio Mariotti (the italian fury), first International Grandmaster in Italy.

ASD Quattro Torri works hard also in promoting mind games in courses, meetings and events, even in collaboration with many schools in Latium, of different level and degree; between Quattro Torri fellows there are chess masters and school teachers, in addition to official FSI teachers.

Quattro Torri mission is to bring Sport values in more possible areas, from children to elderly people, sharing and growing as much as possible.

The Association



Sergio Mariotti does not need presentations: he was the first Italian Grandmaster (in 1974) and Italian Chess Champion in 1969 and 1971. He participated in national and international chess tournaments in his whole life and it plays currently, too. He is President of Quattro Torri and he is also the Technical Director.



Marco Marcon, 2N, is the Vice President of Quattro Torri. Great chess enthusiast, he sees to Association activities, tournaments organization and QT events.
Alessandro Pompa is a Chess Master and a teacher in primary school. His contributions about teaching and learning areas are known beyond chess and mind games; his work has been recognized in meetings and schools in Latium, in particular, and in Italy, in general.

Carmine De Lisa, 1N, computer technician, FSI National Teacher, FSI Regional Council member and Regional Delegate of Latium Players, organizer of course, events and tournaments for the Association. Quattro Torri Representative in Rome for the school courses, he collaborates with schools and societies in Latium and Campania.

Salvatore Tramacere, 2N FSI, member of Roman Group of Studies and Historical Reasearch on Chess, he is an experienced correspondence chess player (ASIGC Master and Correspondence Chess Expert ICCF), he organizes and follows Quattro Torri acitvities in national and international tournaments with particular attention in this discipline.



Fabio Giannandrea, 3N, FSI National Teacher and passionate player, he made courses for hundreds of children in many schools of Rome, beyond summer camps and PON (National Operative Programs). Active collaborator for QT tournaments and events, he promotes and publicizes chess at any level.
Alessio Richichi, NC, is a private worker and FSI Teacher. As QT webmaster, he manages Quattro Torri official site; he collaborates and participates to the events and the tournaments of the association, publishing chess to beginners and children.
